TL;DR. We collect the minimum needed to run DAX Solver: your account, the measures you write, and a small amount of usage telemetry. We don’t sell it. We don’t share it with third parties for advertising. You can export or delete it at any time.
What we collect
- Account info — name, email, and the authentication token from your OAuth provider (Google, GitHub, or Microsoft) if you use one.
- Your practice data — the challenges you attempt, your submissions, run counts, and timing. This powers your progress dashboard.
- Usage telemetry — page views and error reports via Microsoft Clarity, which helps us fix bugs and improve the product.
- Billing info — processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We store only a reference and the last four digits of your card.
How we use it
We use your data to run the service, render your personal progress, send you account emails (password reset, billing, product updates you opted into), and diagnose issues. We do not train machine-learning models on your private code.
Who we share it with
We share data only with subprocessors needed to run the service:
- Amazon Web Services — hosting
- Stripe — payment processing
- Postmark — transactional email
- Microsoft Clarity — anonymized session telemetry
We do not sell your data to advertisers. If a law enforcement agency requests data, we require a valid subpoena and notify you unless we’re legally prohibited.
Your rights
You can:
- Access — export all your data as JSON from Settings → Privacy.
- Correct — update your profile from Settings → Account.
- Delete — delete your account and all associated data from Settings → Danger zone. We purge within 30 days.
- Object — email admin@daxsolver.com and we’ll process within 14 days.
Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. Clarity uses anonymized tracking cookies. No third-party advertising cookies.
Security
All traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3). Data at rest is encrypted with AES-256. We’re pursuing SOC 2 Type II certification (pending). If you find a vulnerability, please report it to admin@daxsolver.com.
Changes
We’ll notify you by email if we make material changes to this policy. Minor updates will be reflected in the “last updated” date above.
